Blue Hopi was traditionally grown and cultivated by the Hopi Native Americans in Arizona. This heirloom field corn has beautiful color and exceptional flavor and texture once dried and ground. Blue Hopi Corn plants grow to 5-6' tall and produce ears that are 8-10" long. Blue Hopi produces long, deep taproots that make it extremely drought-tolerant and adaptable to a wide range of climates. It has a 30% higher protein content that other field corn varieties. Once dried and ground, it makes the best homemade tortillas, corn chips and cornbread.
